Caregiver: Hi, I'm calling from Riverside Sanatorium. A patient just collapsed in the lounge.
Dispatcher: Is the patient breathing and conscious?
Caregiver: Yes, breathing but very dizzy. He vomited and is pale. I'm on the second floor by the east wing.
Dispatcher: I have an ambulance coming. Can you stay with him and keep him still?
Caregiver: Yes. There is a lot of jabber in the corridor, staff and visitors talking. The noise makes it hard to focus.
Dispatcher: Good. Give reassurances. What's the patient's approximate age?
Caregiver: About seventy. By the way, working at the sanatorium can be frustrating. I thought my shift would be mundane paperwork, but this happens instead.
