I applied to the Biology undergraduate programme and wanted to check my application status. Admissions Officer: Thanks, Mark. Do you have your application number? Applicant: Yes, it's 2024-334. Also, I attached a short field report about tadpole development from a local pond. Admissions Officer: I see. We do accept brief project reports. Did you also include your pollen sampling notes from the urban park? Applicant: Yes. One appendix contains pollen counts and another appendix has lab photos of tadpole growth. Admissions Officer: Good. Our standard deadline for supporting documents is May 15. After that, we do a preliminary review. Applicant: May 15 is soon. Is there a quick way to send scanned transcripts if needed? Admissions Officer: Email is fastest. Send PDFs to [email protected] and put your number in the subject for a quick match. Applicant: Thanks. Also, I noted higher pollen counts in May which aggravated my hay fever a bit. Admissions Officer: We can file that with your health notes. We typically phone-interview some candidates; those are scheduled later in June. Applicant: Okay. One more thing: I hope for a quick decision if possible. My scholarship application depends on timing. Admissions Officer: Understood. We'll try to be prompt. If we need clarification about your tadpole methodology, we will contact you by email.
