📝 雅思口语对话文本

Every year our town holds a small culture and craft festival. It celebrates food and handmade art. Potters set up benches and extrude clay through simple tools to make long coils. Later they join coils to shape animals and bowls. Bakers also extrude dough into fun shapes. They press the dough through molds to make decorative breads and pastries. The event began in 1890, so some local people call it an old tradition. Visitors are told not to smudge the wet paint on masks. Artists warn parents because children often smudge paint on their clothes while they join in. The festival gives a welcome break from the mundane routine of daily life. It turns ordinary tasks into bright displays and lifts people out of mundane days. A common motif is the reptile, especially lizards carved in clay. The festival even has a wooden reptile mascot displayed near the entrance. There used to be a parade with live reptiles decades ago, though that stopped for safety reasons. Some stalls sell plain, traditional loaves while others focus on decorative dough sculptures. The mixture of food, craft and hands-on activities makes the fair family friendly. People leave smiling and with messy hands, not just because of food, but because they made something themselves.
