Putaran 5

Dengar ulang tanpa subtitle

📝 Transkrip Dialog IELTS Speaking

Librarian: Good morning. Library help desk, how can I help? Student: Hi. I need to report a problem with a book I borrowed. Librarian: All right. Which book is it? Student: It is the textbook on minor surgery. I had it open on a table and I knocked over a red smoothie. Librarian: Oh no. Was the cover damaged? I can see a red mark when I look. Student: Yes, the cover is red and some inner pages are stained too. I feel real remorse about it. Librarian: I understand. There was a breeze from the window and it turned the pages, so the spill spread further. Student: Exactly. The breeze made it worse. I had minor surgery last week and my hands were a little unsteady. Librarian: We have a staff surgery, a drop-in consultation, on Thursday afternoon if you want advice on borrowing again. Student: Thanks. To what extent will I be fined? I truly regret it and showed remorse immediately. Librarian: We need to check the extent of the damage. If it is minor we may just stamp it. See the red stamp there? Student: I appreciate that. I came straight to the desk to explain, because I wanted to be honest. Librarian: That helps. For minor stains we often waive a fine if the borrower shows remorse and returns the book promptly. Student: Good. I will be careful. I feel bad about the book on surgery and I will avoid drinks near books in future. Librarian: Thank you. Please fill in this damage form while I note the extent. The breeze is keeping the reading room cool today.
