Trainer: Hi, good morning. How are you today? Member: Hi. I am fine, thanks. I am a devotee of cycling and I train often. Trainer: That is great. As a devotee you must care about balance. Member: Yes. I want to consolidate my balance before a race. Trainer: Good idea. Small balance drills help the cerebellum learn patterns. Member: Cerebellum? I did not know that part of the brain was involved. Trainer: Yes. The cerebellum controls coordination and helps keep you steady. Member: What about intense training? I like short sprints. Trainer: Short sprints are anaerobic work. Anaerobic sessions raise power quickly. Member: I do some anaerobic intervals already, but I want to consolidate technique too. Trainer: We can do simple drills to consolidate your pedal stroke and balance. Member: Also, can I haggle the fee for one month? I am on a budget. Trainer: You can ask, but we usually do not haggle on standard fees. Member: Okay. One more question: is the pool open early? I heard it opens at six and it is outdoors. Trainer: Yes, the pool opens early, and we have towel service. But pool work is not key for cerebellum training.
