Putaran 5

Dengar ulang tanpa subtitle

📝 Transkrip Dialog IELTS Speaking

I want to describe a small community conservation project in a coastal town. We work around an old wooden hut by the shoreline. The hut was empty for years until locals found a rare moth sheltering in a corner. The moth surprised everyone because it is unusual in urban areas. We used fruit jelly on cards to attract the moth for observation. Later, at a workshop, residents made more jelly to bait simple traps. Our plan focuses on low-impact interventions. We will clear invasive plants and plant hardy coastal shrubs. Hardy species are chosen because they tolerate wind and salt. Some people suggested moving the hut to a museum. That was briefly discussed, and one donor even offered funds to relocate it. However, the group decided to preserve the hut in place and rejoin its story to the neighbourhood. Volunteers rejoin the project after breaks and help with surveys. We also mentioned clearing a small area for a gravel path, although paving for parking was rejected. There were also unrelated ideas, like installing bright lights on the beach, which we dismissed. In short, the project aims to protect that moth, keep the hut intact, and use hardy plants to stabilise the sand while involving the whole community.
