Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Transparent, direct, verifiable answers to help you get started quickly.

Why learn through English brain routes instead of translation?
Because translation only gives you a label, while a brain route gives you the stable mental picture behind the word. Many English words look like they have many unrelated meanings, but native speakers are usually holding onto one shared image, one direction of action, or one scene pattern. If you memorize translations only, meanings scatter. If you catch the brain route, those meanings hang back on the same picture. That is why LexiTalk focuses on English brain routes: understand the shared image first, then see how different meanings grow from it across real sentences. What you train is not a translation reflex, but a more native-like way of understanding English.
What is "Comprehensible Input"?
Comprehensible Input is a language learning theory that says learners use the knowledge and context they already understand to absorb new material just above their current level. In other words, you rely on the “known” to make sense of the “unknown,” expanding language ability through natural comprehension.
What is the interactive typing practice?
Interactive typing practice is a listen-and-type mini game: play the sentence audio, then type the words you hear on your keyboard. Matching ignores uppercase/lowercase (A = a), so you can focus on spelling, rhythm, and combining listening with output in one flow.

Start with Lite (A1-A2), focus on high-frequency words and everyday contexts, then move to Advanced (B1-B2+) as you get comfortable. Look for the "Lite" badge.
How do I switch between Lite and Advanced levels?
On the homepage /web/{lang}, tap the Lite or Advanced tabs above the listening content grid; or select episodes by the "Lite / Advanced" badges on cards.
Are word explanations the same as a traditional dictionary?
Not exactly. We do not pursue “perfect dictionary-style definitions.” Our explanations are designed for human understanding: everyday learners, vivid mental images, and comprehensible input. We connect meaning with context, usage, and examples so you can recall and speak naturally.
How are listening content generated?
The system creates a next-day personalized listening content by randomly combining your saved (favorited) words with the scenarios you select.
