Receptionist: Good morning. This is Riverside Health Clinic. How can I help you today? Patient: Hello. I booked to see a nurse. I have stomach pain and a rash on my waist. Receptionist: I see. Your name please? Patient: It's Thomas Green. I thought my appointment was at 11:00. Receptionist: We have you down for 10:30. Still, we can fit you in now. How did the stomach pain start? Patient: I had pasta last night and felt sick after. I actually bought the pasta from the supermarket near my house. Receptionist: Did you get the pasta from a supermarket brand or a small deli? That information helps if there is a recall. Patient: From a big supermarket. I even bought extra pasta there yesterday for dinner. Receptionist: Okay. And about the rash? Patient: I think it's from my belt. It's a new leather belt. The leather rubbed my skin and then a red patch appeared. Receptionist: Some people react to leather or the dye used. Did you buy the belt recently? Patient: Yes, I got the leather belt last week at a clothing shop. I also have a leather wallet that hasn't caused problems. Receptionist: Right. The nurse will examine you and give you written information about treating the rash and avoiding foods that upset your stomach. Patient: That sounds good. Will I need medicine? Also, do you need the supermarket receipt for that information? Receptionist: The nurse will decide about medicine. If you kept the receipt, bring it. It helps, but it's not essential. Patient: Okay, thanks. I can go back to the supermarket later for the receipt if needed.
