Shop Assistant: Hello. How can I help you today? Customer: Hi. I bought some apples at the school annual event yesterday and I need a refund. Shop Assistant: I see. Were the apples bought at that annual event stall or from our shop? Customer: They were from the fair stall. My son ate one after school lunch and said it was soft. Shop Assistant: Soft how? Did they go soft right after the after school lunch snack? Customer: No, they seemed fine at the fair, but after we gave them to him, they were soft the next day. Shop Assistant: That can happen if apples are not fully ripe when sold. Farmers sometimes tell customers to wait until when the fruit is ripe. Customer: Oh, I didn't know that. The seller at the event didn't say to wait until when the fruit is ripe. Shop Assistant: Okay. Do you have the receipt from the annual event? We need proof to contact the vendor and process a refund. Customer: Yes, I have the receipt. I bought three apples at the stall after school. Shop Assistant: Good. If you bring the apples and the receipt, we can offer a refund. We can do cash or store credit, although sometimes the vendor prefers to give store credit. Customer: Right. I'll bring them in later today. Should I wait until when the fruit is ripe in future purchases? Shop Assistant: Yes, that helps. And mention it was sold at the annual event after school so the vendor knows which stall to check. Customer: Thanks. I'll be back with the apples and the receipt.
