Parent: Good morning. Thank you for meeting me between classes. Teacher: Good morning. No problem at all. How is Emma doing? Parent: She loves dance but she keeps falling when she tries a pirouette at home. Teacher: I noticed. She can do a single pirouette, but she struggles with the second rotation and overall balance. Parent: We practise together. Last night she managed one full pirouette without spinning out, so we are improving. Teacher: That's encouraging. I can give you some collateral — short handouts with balance exercises and step-by-step tips. Parent: That would help. We also wondered about funding for extra lessons. The programme brochure mentioned a small scholarship. Teacher: There is a limited scholarship, yes, but many parents also use the community charity for small loans. The charity sometimes asks for collateral as a guarantee. Parent: Oh, I didn't know that. Are teachers involved in recommending who needs physiotherapy or extra practice? Teacher: We do. I recommended a few balance drills. They are simple. They reduce wobble in pirouettes and lower the chance of injury. Parent: Great. I'll take the handouts and think about the options. By the way, the school fair is next month if you need volunteers. Teacher: Thanks. And please remind Emma to practise the spotting technique for the pirouette. It really helps.
