I like working in the trenches with teams rather than just planning. Volunteer Coordinator: Good to hear. We meet at the community centre car park at nine. Bring sturdy boots and a water bottle. New Volunteer: Are tools provided or should I bring my own spade? Volunteer Coordinator: We supply shovels and wheelbarrows, and we have some gloves. Still, many volunteers prefer to bring their own gloves for comfort. New Volunteer: Okay. Should I expect the work to be muddy? Volunteer Coordinator: Yes, it will be muddy near the trench edges, and the ground can be uneven, so safety is important. New Volunteer: Do you provide lunch?
