Every year our town holds a small culture and craft festival. It celebrates food and handmade art. Potters set up benches and extrude clay through simple tools to make long coils. Later they join coils to shape animals and bowls. Bakers also extrude dough into fun shapes. They press the dough through molds to make decorative breads and pastries. The event began in 1890, so some local people call it an old tradition. Visitors are told not to smudge the wet paint on masks.
